Love's Witnesses.

Suddenly, the bridge across the river Main is lined with thousands of chains and padlocks. All have names engraved into them, testaments to love and marriage. I’d never seen them on this bridge before. They were added in my absence… And you don’t have to support the idea of marriage to love the beauty this expresses. And we stood and read the names and dates, and thought about all that can last through the years.

After The Wedding.

The bells slowly fade into the nights that lie between you and the wedding day. The flaming torches and shimmering lights will be by your side all along the way. They will follow, and guide, and unite, and divide, and return to the source of your pleasure and pain. The life that you have is the joy that remains.

About a month after their wedding, in October 2009, my two friends took me out for a “Wedding Trash” photo session. This was shot at Westmount Square, Montreal. More from that session are to follow.
